Christopher R. Fertig

Chris Fertig received his Bachelor of Science from Georgetown University's School of Foreign Service before receiving his law degree from the University of Miami in 1976. A former licensed captain and long-time member of the Maritime Law Association with the designation Proctor in Admiralty, Mr. Fertig is a member of the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers and the National Association of Marine Investigators. He is a forensic litigator whose practice focuses on maritime law, professional liability, general liability, insurance coverage and fraud Mr. Fertig has authored insurance policies and endorsements currently in use in the domestic and London market.  He conducts seminars on various insurance related topics.  Mr. Fertig is currently an appointed member to the Charter Revision Board for the City of Fort Lauderdale.

Frank R. Gramling

Frank R. Gramling is a graduate of the University of Florida and received his law degree from Cumberland Law School in 1975. He is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Greater Miami, the Estate Planning Council of Broward County and holds an active Real Estate Broker license. He is a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Coast Guard (Ret.).

Darlene M. Lidondici

Darlene M. Lidondici is a graduate of the John Jay College of Criminal Justice with a law degree from Fordham University School of Law. She joined the firm in 1987 after having been in private practice in New York and having worked for Home Insurance as claims counsel. She has a strong background in insurance coverage interpretation, having been responsible for supervision of liquor liability and product liability claims and catastrophic injury claims and coverage disputes. Ms. Lidondici defends professional malpractice, E & O and D & O claims, general liability claims and handles various insurance disputes, first and third party claims and declaratory judgment actions. She has authored endorsements currently in use in the domestic and London market and testified as an expert witness in coverage disputes.  She is admitted to the New York and Florida Bars (Federal and State Courts).

Levi G. Williams

Levi Williams graduated from the University of Illinois with his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with emphasis in marketing and organizational behavior and received his law degree from the University of Florida in 1994. After working for the State Attorney in Fort Myers, he joined Fertig and Gramling in 1995.  His areas of practice include, Corporate, Labor and Employment, Wrongful Death & Personal Injury, Discrimination, Governmental Relations/Business Consultant and serves as a Court Appointed Arbitrator in Broward County.  Levi is active in the community where he is the past president of the Broward County Urban League.  A member for eight years of the Board of Trustees for Broward Community College, he has led the Board twice as chair. Mr. Williams is also the attorney for the Broward County Republican Executive Committee.

Merryl S. Haber

Merryl Haber graduated from George Washington University  in 1992.  She received her law degree from Whittier College in California and joined Fertig and Gramling in 1995.  Her experience includes general litigation of first and third party claims including insurance policy interpretation, coverage determination and declaratory relief actions.   Practice areas include maritime, professional malpractice, extra-contractual liability, premises liability, negligence, employment, commercial trucking, directors and officers, municipalities, condominiums and homeowners associations, and insurance fraud defense.  Ms. Haber is admitted to the California and Florida Bars (all Federal and State Courts).

Andrew Mescolotto

Andrew Mescolotto received his undergraduate degree from The George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs where he concentrated in International Economics.  He is a recent graduate of Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad Law Center where he earned the CALI Book Award in Elder Law.  Mr. Mescolotto is admitted to the Florida Bar and was recognized by the Fourth District Court of Appeals for having the highest score in the District on the July 2006 bar examination.  Mr. Mescolotto is originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where he attended St. Joseph’s Preparatory School.  He was an Ocean Rescue Lifeguard in Barnegat Light, New Jersey for eight summers and is an accomplished ocean rower and avid SCUBA diver.

Erin Talasnik

Erin Talasnik was a dual major of Communications and Religious Studies and received her Bachelors of Science Degree from the University of Miami. After 2 years of working in the Public Relations arena, Erin continued her studies and received her law degree from Shepard Broad Law Center of Nova Southeastern University. While in law school Erin worked at the Office of the Public Defender in Broward County concentrating on Criminal Law and Litigation. Upon graduation Erin was awarded the Pro Bono Gold for volunteering over 300 hours for the Office of the Public Defender. Erin previously owned her own Criminal Defense practice and joined Fertig & Gramling after practicing criminal law for several years. In 2005, she was the recipient of the Hat Trick Award given by the Broward Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers for winning three major crimes trials in a row. Erin has extensive jury trial experience and is admitted to practice law in the State and Federal Courts of Florida. She is originally from Philadelphia, Pa. and enjoys watching football and baseball, snorkeling, fishing, and boating.

Erin Grachow

Erin Grachow graduated Cum Laude from Florida State University in 1999 with a degree in Communications and a minor in Film Studies. Following graduation she interned in the Communications Department of Amnesty International, a human rights organization in the United Kingdom. Additionally, she worked for a company that builds luxury apartments in Toronto, Canada and was the Operations Manager of their first international project. After five years of working in communications and public relations, she returned to school to pursue a graduate degree in law. She is a recent graduate from Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad Law Center where she received Pro Bono Honors and also participated in Jessup Moot Court. Erin is a member of the Florida Bar. She was born in Montreal, Canada but spent most of her life in the United States. She has lived abroad in London, England and Toronto, Canada. Erin enjoys watching movies, particularly foreign films, spending time outdoors and traveling.

Alexander Koffler

Alexander Koffler graduated Cum Laude from the University of Florida, where he received a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration from the Warrington College of Business Administration and minored in Criminology. Mr. Koffler earned his law degree and graduated cum laude from Nova Southeastern University, where he was a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and served as Chairman of the Association of Business Law Students. He is admitted to the Florida Bar and is a member of the American Bar Association and the Broward County Bar Association. Mr. Koffler is originally from Baltimore, Maryland, has a boating license and is an avid SCUBA diver.
